Job Purpose:

This position is part of the team responsible for ensuring the Company's compliance with applicable state and federal regulations while identifying and mitigating risks related to the Company's Pipeline assets.  It coordinates activities of operational safety functions, including but not limited to the following:  OSHA Training & OQs, Work Permits & JSAs, Process Safety Management, and Facility Inspections. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Analyze, interpret, establish and administer safety policies for pipeline operations
  • Ensure all personnel have the required training and maintain qualifications
  • Reviews Safety Manual and implements all related safety policies and procedures
  • Implements policies of the Drug & Alcohol Plan and oversees D&A testing
  • Responsible for support of all Company operations in the management of safety
  • Conduct health and safety audits to ensure compliance
  • Provide support with Process Safety Management
  • Conduct facility inspections and incident investigations
  • Host monthly company-wide safety meetings
  • Participate in Pre-job Meetings and Conduct field site visits
  • Develop safety presentations and training as needed
  • Lock Out Tag Out Plan review and implementation of LOTO Plan
  • Completion and Filing of OSHA forms

 

Education and Basic Requirements

  • Degree in related field, preferred
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and Environmental Compliance, as they relate to the Oil Industry with 2-3 years of experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office:  Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Must be able to successfully pass Drug and Alcohol pre-employment and ongoing screening.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations and project plans that secure the continuing safe and compliant operation of the business 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (training, presentation, team collaboration and communication) with the ability to influence others
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to obtain TWIC card
