John Grier is the Founder and Chairman of Crescent Midstream. Beginning in the mid-1980s, Mr. Grier was primarily in the exploration and production business before his company began purchasing pipelines. In 2005, the company made its first pipeline acquisition and has since made 11 acquisitions, mostly from major oil companies. In Louisiana, Crescent has made six acquisitions, four from majors. John has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University.
Jeremiah Ashcroft III
Crescent Midstream is led by CEO Jeremiah Ashcroft, III. Most recently, Mr. Ashcroft served as CEO of Lone Star Ports. He had the role as President and CEO of EQT Midstream, which included three publicly traded midstream platforms with a combined market capitalization of $11 billion. Ashcroft also served as CEO of Gulf Oil L.P. and President of three business units for Buckeye Partners L.P. He began his energy career with Colonial Pipeline Co. Jerry received a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and holds a Master’s degree in business administration from Emory University.
David Allison is the Vice President of Business Development for Crescent Midstream. He has over 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Since joining the team in 2015, Mr. Allison has held various commercial roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to joining Crescent, Mr. Allison worked for Halliburton Energy Services, where he gained extensive experience in engineering, operations and business development. Mr. Allison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University.
Eric Lyons is the Vice President of Engineering & Regulatory Compliance for Crescent Midstream and joined the team in 2016. Eric played a vital role to establish an in-house engineering team and basis to develop and maintain the Gulf assets. Eric built his engineering career starting at BP in the crude pipeline field in 2008, continuing through Williams extending his knowledge in natural gas cryogenics and fractionation processes. Eric has worked his way through engineering and project management roles, including maintenance engineering, facility engineering, area engineering and pipeline engineering to bring him into engineering management. Mr. Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Donald Smith is the Vice President of Operations for Crescent Midstream. He has over 45 years of experience in the pipeline industry. Prior to joining Crescent in 2012, Donald worked for Shell Pipeline for 37 years. During his years with Shell, Donald worked in the control center, handled scheduling, was the operations manager in the Gulf of Mexico and maintained the public awareness program. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Southern University A&M College.
Ambrish Vasudevan is the Vice President of Corporate Planning & Strategy for Crescent Midstream. Prior to joining Crescent in 2020, Ambrish worked at Global Infrastructure Partners in New York, where he focused on private equity investments in the energy sector. Ambrish began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in the Natural Resources group in Houston. Mr. Vasudevan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business.
