Safety
At Crescent, there is no more important commitment than the one we make to the safe and reliable operation of our pipelines. Our most significant responsibility is to do all we can to protect the safety of our workforce, contractors, the communities where we operate, and the environment. Our spill response plans have been approved by PHMSA and BSEE. In the unlikely event of a spill, we have contracts in place with oil spill response organizations. We conduct annual emergency response drills with participation at the federal, state and local levels. Crescent has a robust public awareness program to educate and inform the public about pipeline awareness and damage prevention. In addition, Crescent is pursuing a carbon capture and sequestration system to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Louisiana.
Compliance
Safety and regulatory compliance are the driving forces behind Crescent Midstream’s operations. Our company consistently meets or exceeds all local, state and federal regulations. Our industry is heavily regulated by multiple federal and state agencies including the U.S. Department of Transportation through the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).
